The Arms of a Sister

08-08 / by Liz Scavilla / Leave a Comment

Is solace anywhere more comforting than in the arms of a sister.”
-Alice Walker

When I think of a sister, the faces of my stepsisters Jackie & Tracy come to mind. They’re super outgoing and awesome people and for sure the closest people to sisters I had growing up. My parents didn’t have any girls of their own after me, so having a sister to debate with over the best boy bands or sharing clothing with was not something I ever experienced. I never had to share my room, or wonder if my sister stole my lipstick, or had a sister to borrow shoes from.

So to me, sisters are kind of awesome to take photos of – especially at a younger age. Sisters Brie & Meagan were so much fun to photograph with their parents Nicole & Craig (and their sweet dog Mr. Myron). We got some great shots of them at their home that overlooked a beautiful lake surrounded by a forest, and then headed down to Flagler Beach. They are definitely the sweetest pair of sisters and I’m so thrilled to share some of their photos here:
